The ones who care about kids and love a good story

Why stories matter

Early exposure to stories significantly impacts a child’s cognitive development and literacy skills. However, many children don’t have a person who is available or able to read to them daily, and some households may lack easy access to books and literacy development opportunities.

Benefit of audio stories

Listening to stories helps to spark kids’ imaginations while boosting their language and literacy skills.

The audible-only platform supports screen-free listening, minimizing visual distractions and on-screen prompts, helping children to develop their listening skills.

Because favorites are worth keeping

We want everyone to have access to good stories. We promised “no take-backs,” and we meant it: now that the app has retired, every story is unlocked, free, for families who have it.

Why we have stories in English & Spanish

Early exposure to a second language helps children learn it later in life. That’s why we offer fun, easy-to-listen-to stories that improve language skills.

Hearing different sounds and words boosts children’s ability to recognize and imitate them. We also want to help our native English speakers learning Spanish, and vice versa.

More than just stories

Stories do more than entertain – they help children understand themselves and others. Our multicultural collection encourages empathy, imagination, and curiosity.

By listening to voices from around the world, kids begin to appreciate different cultures, values, and experiences.

Every story is crafted by real people!

We don’t believe in storytelling via AI. Our stories come from real people based on real experiences and human imaginations. Our translations and adaptations are done by human professionals.

Every story is now yours

Read our farewell note

If your family has the app, all 80 stories are unlocked, free, and no subscriptions will renew.

Families love our stories

My 4 year old son loves the Whole World Kids app and book series. The stories are fun and varied. The readers have very friendly voices. The interface is intuitive. We look forward to more!

My 3 yr old LOVES your stories. He's on his second story this morning. His favorite is Little Bunny Foo-Foo.

Bridget

My daughter and I love using this app! She enjoys picking the stories she wants to hear, and we listen together during her quiet time. The app design is lovely, easy to use, and the stories are well organized into categories. Honestly, she could listen for hours!
